Abstract	An overview of Langley Research Center (LaRC), the Research Directorate, and the Flight Dynamics and Control (FDC) discipline is given. Recent activities in the FDC area are described. – Two papers recently presented at SciTech are described. One outlines a successful attempt at generic aircraft modeling. The second paper blends recent insights into Uncertainty Quantification with System Identification. – Prototype development efforts associated with the Greased Lightning 10 (GL-10), an electric propulsion VTOL extended-range aircraft concept, are described. – Some dynamics and control challenges associated with a Langley novel mechanical concept for space construction and grappling are described. – Recent progress in Langley’s support of Sierra Nevada’s Dream Chaser is described.
