AbstractThe Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics has started renovation of the Akerman Hall hangar which is part of Akerman Hall which houses the department. A new course has been developed on Design, Build, Simulation, Control, Simulate, Test and Fly UAVs and is being taught for the first time in the Spring 2010. The course lecture, software, and hardware will be made freely available to the aerospace community via the UMN UAV website www.aem.umn.edu/~uav.

An overview of the 2009 Aerospace Department Chairman Association (ADCA) National Survey of Aerospace Engineering Programs was presented. More information on this survey can be found at the ADCA website, http://www.aerodeptchairs.org/.
