Abstract	“X-47B Flying Qualities and Autonomy Design and Flight Test Results,” Chris DeWitt and Rylan Jager, Northrop Grumman Corporation, El Segundo, CA Abstract X-47B program, configuration and Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) system overviews are presented. X-47B flying qualities design is presented with special attention to the applicability of heritage manned aircraft requirements to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). X-47B GNC autonomy design is presented; including autonomous mode logic and path generation algorithms. Finally flight test results are presented overlaid with simulation predictions.
