Abstract	An overview of Langley Research Center (LaRC), the Research Directorate, and the Flight Dynamics and Control (FDC) discipline is given. Two recent activities in the FDC area are described. 1. The Uncertainty Modeling Interest Group at LaRC is organizing and sponsoring an Uncertainty Quantification Challenge. Results will be presented at the Special session at the 16th AIAA Non-Deterministic Approaches Conference, 13 – 17 January 2014. (SciTech 2014) 2. Bruce Jackson, in an effort sponsored by the NESC, is leading an effort at Development of Generic EOM Verification Data for Flight Simulation. The goal is to develop widely-published, benchmark check-cases and publish results from a wide variety of tools at various government labs.
