AbstractCurrent work discussed include continuation of the Navy Automatic Air Refueling flight test. An inert air refueling probe has been installed on the VS Learjet #2 and initial flight checkout has taken place. Continuation of the program including dry hookups with the Omega 707 tanker will take place in November and December. Use of a VS Learjet as a training vehicle to provide Remotely Piloted Aircraft training for student RPA testers at the USAF Test Pilot School has continued with actual landings of the Learjet controlled from the TPS ground station. The newly acquired Gulfstream III test bed is currently involved in a SATCOM test utilizing the general purpose radome installed on top of the fuselage. Modifications are ongoing on the 4th variable stability Learjet. This airplane is expected to be completed and deployed semi-permanently to Europe in late 2014. Finally, Calspan was recently placed on contract by Piesecki Aircraft to develop the hydraulic actuation system for the DARPA Transformer TX project.
