This presentation discusses the FAA’s Surface Surveillance group and the projects that they are currently working on that have been designed to reduce the number of runway incursions. The projects that will be reviewed are the Airport Surface Detection Equipment Model 3 (ASDE-3), the Airport Movement Area Safety System (AMASS), Runway Status Lights (RWSL), and the Airport Surface Detection Equipment Model X (ASDE-X). | |
