AbstractTitle: Real-Time Optimal Guidance and Control Algorithms

Abstract:
In this presentation, Dr. Zhenbo Wang will briefly introduce the ongoing research in his Autonomous Systems Laboratory (ASL) at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Dr. Wang’s research primarily aims to investigate highly efficient computational methods to improve the performance and autonomy of the vehicle systems. In particular, Dr. Wang is pursuing the interface and integration of optimal control, convex optimization, and machine learning for GN&C of aerospace vehicles including UAVs, missile guidance, hypersonic/entry vehicles, rendezvous & proximity operations, and planetary/asteroid precision landings. The ultimate goal is to achieve real-time, onboard applications.
