Abstract
DLR Flight Test Manching is a part of the Institute of Flight Systems. It is located at the German military flight test center (WTD 61) based on a cooperation which was started in 1975. The idea is to support military flight test and the evaluation of military aircraft and to get a first hand impression of recent topics of interest which can then be converted into research topics.

Current activities are related to the A400M military transport aircraft and the Eurofighter/Typhoon. Special fields of work are flight test in general, handling qualities, performance, air data systems and unpaved runways. Future work will also cover small, medium and large UAV. Also, the team is involved in a project which prepares a national flight test course with 4 month duration.
