AbstractAthena's charter is to commercialize advanced control technologies for the manned and UV markets. Our core capabilities include; state-of-the-art flight-control and navigation systems, algorithms and software implementation for an array of platforms, electronics hardware and products, and system integration and flight testing operations. Our recent activities have included qualification flight testing of GS-211e control/navigation system for US Army Block1B Shadow TUAV and adaptation of our GS311 control/navigation system for Alenia Aeronautica UCAV demonstrator. In the area of VTOL we have adapted our GS111m control/navigation system for Aurora Flight Sciences GoldenEye-50 vehicle that to date has performed well in auto-3D way-point navigation. We are also continuing work on our Vision Augmented Inertial Navigation System or VAINS that is being applied to a Phase II SBIR from Eglin on "Navigation by Terrain Imaging", and also a DARPA program for aerial detection and geo-location of mines with vision.
