Abstract	Two years ago in 2019, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the historical Apollo 11 lunar landing. The Apollo program cemented aerospace guidance as a stand-alone technical specialty as we know it today. From the very beginning aerospace guidance has always been inseparably tied to computation (e. g., the famous Apollo Guidance Computer). In the ensuing 50 years since the Apollo 11 lunar landing, computational capabilities have seen profound and dramatic advances. This talk will review the connection of aerospace guidance and onboard computation, on where we were, where we are, and where we may be heading, particularly in relation to the transformational trend in guidance and control technology where traditional designs are replaced by a new paradigm known as Computational Guidance and Control (CG&C).
